SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The ESC manages the following scholarships


ACADEMIA SCHOLARSHIP
‚ÄčThis is a $300 scholarship allotted to each Shelby County school district each school year.  The funding for this scholarship is from charitable donations from Shelby County businesses and education foundations.  For information, please contact Shawn McElroy (smcelroy@mresc.org) or at 937-498-1354.


FRANKLIN B. WALTER ALL-SCHOLASTIC AWARD OVERVIEW

PROGRAM and ELIGIBILITY:

The Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award Program was established by the Ohio Educational Service Center Association to promote student achievement and to recognize outstanding academic achievement. One senior from each county in Ohio will receive this annual honor.

Applicant must be a high school senior enrolled in a local, city or exempted village school within the ESC’s service region. Recipients should demonstrate outstanding academic achievement as indicated by high school grades, test scores, school activities and awards. Educational Service Centers that have merged are permitted to select one high school senior from each county that merged.

HATHAWAY SCHOLARSHIP
The Hathaway Family left a bequest to forward the higher education of Shelby County high school seniors who are planning on majoring in agricultural related fields. MARY ELEANOR MORRIS OVERVIEW

PROGRAM and ELIGIBILTY:

The Mary Eleanor Morris Scholarship is a part of a fund administered by the Columbus Foundation. Mrs. Morris was a resident of West Liberty, Ohio and the interest from her bequest is to assist with projects in Logan County. The amount of the scholarship is worth $1,000 per year for four years to five students. The students must rank in the upper one-third of their college at the end of each full year to be eligible to renew the scholarship the next year. The funds are available to full-time students at four-year colleges or universities only. The committee will accept the criteria used by the college or university on determining what is full-time. Applicant must be a resident of Logan County, Ohio.
